The whole lunch packing is new to me. My oldest just started pre-k and is a little picky when it comes to eating.
I did find the Yumbox (Rosa Pink) Leakproof on amazon and WE love it. Although, I think it is a little larger than what she needs this year we still use it and plan to use it for later years as well.
This is the smaller version YUMBOX (Aqua Turquoise) Leakproof . This would be great for lunch packing for Pre K.
The key to packing lunch in a Yumbox is having a variety of lunch foods on hand. I have a picky eater and a variety helps.
Also, having tools and accessories to make everything “FUN”. (My toddler will eat it better if it is cute?)
Our Yumbox has 6 slots for different lunch items.
These are the things my daughter eats in her Yumbox so far:
- Ham & Cheese (I use shape cutters like these)
- Peanut butter sandwich
- Whole wheat crackers
- Organic cheese puff bites
- Fruit (Cutters)
- Organic fruit snack
- Yogurt bites
I wish she wasn’t a picky eater. It would be so much faster packing lunches.
This Yumbox really makes it easier, though. One box that seals each compartment when closed is great. It’s even better that it can go in the dishwasher!
