I love my small garden. It is a place where I soak up the sunshine and play with my children. It is something about gardening that reduces stress for me. I believe fresh vegetables are beautiful and my favorite piece of summer is to see them on my kitchen counters!
I am not an expert at all when it comes to gardening and I am good with that. It is hard work but it is much more manageable when I only plant things I know we will eat. The best part about gardening is that there is not a perfect way to do things and it is interesting to see what others are doing in their gardens. I love to see various garden plans!
Another amazing thing with gardening is the learning part of it. How great is it to grow your own food? I have developed a new love for canning and I hope to do more of that this year. I hope my children always love to garden and learn about nature.
Here I have created this Small Garden Planning Checklist and Seed Starting Printable for myself to stay organized.
To get these printables for yourself just join the weekly newsletter! I’d love to have you and I send out free printables often for you to enjoy!
I get caught up in every day things a lot and push things that are time sensitive (like starting seeds!) to the back burner. That happen to you?
Anyway, this year I feel behind on my gardening but this coming week I am going to start full force. I am using this week to wrap my head around it and plan. To get me started I have ordered These.

When I have a plan in my head I feel less stressed about what I am doing. Having a small garden each year is a must for our family. It is something we enjoy to do together. It is not perfect but it is fun for us even though it is a lot of work.

My small garden goals this year are:
Start all my plants from seed myself
Plant something new
Do more canning (My Canner)
I only made 3 small goals for this year’s garden because if I’m honest I want to make them reachable.
Do you have a small garden? I’d love to hear about your garden plans!
